Many people are suffering from dementia which is a condition that makes the person to undergo memory loss as they also get to lose their thinking skills that impair them from performing the day to day activities as supposed to. To the patient that has been diagnosed with these condition they are mostly gotten to be sad at the first stages and even this makes their family members and friends to be sad. This particular condition makes the individual to not even get to realize what is going on around them while those people that are looking after them get to handle with much emotions the memory loss of the patient. Since you have a patient that is undergoing this particular condition, then there are things that you should be doing around them as you interact with them from time to time. It is important to keep calm when you are around these people with the dementia condition. At times the patient may result to being violent when they are forced to do something that they do not want to. When the person who is taking care of them forces them to do things like eating or even taking a shower and they do not want, this will make them be angry.

At times they might result in hitting or smacking a person just because they are angry. The way you approach them in this condition determines how they will result in the end. It is highly recommended that you be realistic around these people and get to accept that they are sick and as time goes by they will not heal but get to be worse than before. The family and friends of the person that is undergoing these condition are highly advised to be realistic and also they get to admit about the changes that their loved ones are undergoing and that when time goes by, they will continue to worsen.

You are highly restricted to correct any miss information that the people have and can remember at the moment. The information that the patients will end up recognizing sometimes are not that accurate and thus, it is recommended that you do not try to correct them at all. Another thing that you should not do is getting frustrated. Even when they get to frustrate you as you take care of them, it is not advisable that you get frustrated.
